Holly Holm throws out first pitch at Isotopes

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Oh, Holly’s Night it was. It even felt like December. But despite the cold and heavy pregame rain, Holly’s Holm-ies were out in force on Saturday night at Isotopes Park. In what was billed as Holly Holm Night, the Isotopes drew an announced crowd of 9,510 for their 5-3 loss against Tacoma. The first 3,000 of those got a free Holm bobblehead doll – many of those waiting with umbrellas and winter coats to assure snatching one. Sunday Tacoma at Albuquerque, 1:35 p.m. “I got one,” Holm said jokingly during a pregame news conference in front of a handful of local reporters. “I had to protect it, because I didn’t want anyone to take it from me. “… Every time I get to feel the support from the whole community is just awesome. I’m just glad it’s bringing attention to the charities involved. … Gosh, who’d have ever thought we’d be sitting here. It’s definitely a really neat thing.”
